Moeaken is a fashion show for young Estonian fashion designers which is organized by the student union of Viimsi Keskkool. I had a chance to see what happens in backstage.
The event started at 19:00 but the preparations started at 16:30 when the models were being prepared for the show. Makeup, hair and dressing uptake quite a lot of time. The Oriflame makeup artists were there to help, everyone was really busy. Backstage had two rooms, both full of models, assistants and clothes. And the air was full of hairspray.
There were 15 participants, whom the jury picked the first three. I saw collections that didn’t move me but also saw collections that really inspired. As one of the organizers said, the most difficult part is to make the timetable work out.
